Chicken Inn Face Tough FC Platinum Test

Chicken Inn FC will be aiming to build on their midweek victory when they travel to Zvishavane to face FC Platinum in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League clash at Mandava Stadium on Saturday.
The Gamecocks head into the encounter after a hard-fought 1-0 home victory over Simba Bhora FC, which was their second win in the last five games.
Coach Tonderai Ndiraya will be encouraged by the improved performance shown against Simba Bhora, particularly after concerns over defensive inconsistencies in the past games.
However, Saturday’s fixture presents another difficult challenge for the Bulawayo side, who have had limited recovery and preparation time following a congested run of league matches.
Chicken Inn have also historically struggled away to FC Platinum, with the club having only been victorious twice at Mandava Stadium since 2015. Their last win at Mandava was a 2-1 victory back in the 2019 season.

A victory for Chicken Inn could also move the side closer to the league’s top five positions, depending on results elsewhere this weekend, including Caps United’s clash against Simba Bhora.
