Scottland continues to set the pace in Zimbabwe’s football business.
The reigning Premier Soccer League champions held a glitzy kit and player unveiling ceremony in Harare Friday night. The jersey signed by President Mnangagwa was put up for auction, and it fetched an incredible US$ 1 million from Sakunda Fossil. The other two shirts went out for US$700 000 and US$51 000 each.
Club owner Pedzai Sakupwanya took the other jersey for US$700 000 while the other individual elected to stay anonymous. That means from selling only three t-shirts, Scottland realised over $ 1.7 million in a little less than an hour.
