Chicken Inn football club head coach Tonderai Ndiraya says his side will not be making up the numbers in the upcoming Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) season, warning rivals to expect a highly competitive campaign from his side.
Commenting to the press ahead of the new season, Ndiraya said the Gamecocks have invested heavily in recruitment and preseason preparations to ensure they can challenge from the start.

Ndiraya, who recently joined Chicken Inn FC after leaving reigning league champions Scottland FC, acknowledged that the competition will be intense this season, but expressed confidence in the quality and depth of his squad.
“We are now in the final phase of our preparations before the season starts,” Ndiraya said. “The team is looking competitive, and we are hoping for a strong campaign.”
He added that several clubs have strengthened their squads during the transfer window, including traditional giants and emerging contenders, which he believes will be a test for his team in a demanding season.
Chicken Inn FC will begin their PSL campaign with an away clash against Herentals football club on the 6th of March.
