Chicken Inn FC to Host Debutants FC Hunters at Barbourfields on Sunday

Chicken Inn FC will take on FC Hunters this Sunday at Barbourfields Stadium in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) fixture that promises plenty of excitement.
Chicken Inn, currently 10th on the league table after matchday five, come into the match with a recent record of draw, win, loss, draw, draw. Their most recent outing saw them share points with Manica Diamonds last Thursday. Coach Tonderai Ndiraya admitted:
“In the five games we have played so far, this could be one of the worst in those five games.”
The Bulawayo side will be eager to bounce back at home and climb the league standings as the season unfolds.
FC Hunters, debutants in the top flight from Marondera, are currently 14th, having recorded draw, draw, draw, loss, draw in their opening five PSL matches. The team earned promotion after winning the Eastern Region title last year. Last thursaday, Godfrey Dabgwa scored FC Hunters’ first goal in the Castle Lager PSL after the club failed to find the back of the net in their opening four fixtures of the season.
Sunday’s match will be a key test for the newcomers as they face an experienced Chicken Inn side. FC Hunters will aim to continue their debut season journey and prove they can compete at Zimbabwe’s highest level, while Chicken Inn will look to turn draws into victories and improve their league position.
