CAPS United line up three friendlies in Malawi

CAPS United arrived in Lilongwe, Malawi on Friday evening ahead of their two-week stay in the Warm Heart of Africa as part of their fine-tuning ahead of the commencement of the 2026 Premier Soccer League season.
The Green Machine have put together three friendly games against team from the Malawi Premier Soccer League.
They open their mission against Silver Strikers this Sunday.
It’s a match that has been widely marketed and everyone in town is talking about it.
The game will be staged at Silver Stadium.
CAPS United coach Takesure Chiragwi said: “We are quite surprised with the amount of interest this match has brought across Lilongwe.
“Maybe it’s because our team has Malawian players as well as technical personnel.
“But all the same, we want to win the match and be assess our level of preparedness.”
Makepekepe will also play two more games before returning home but not before they engage UD Songo of Mozambique when they make a stopover in Tete, Mozambique on their way back home.
The club will return home on February 28.
