CAPS United will finally leave for Malawi this week after all the logistical necessities were sealed.
The Green Machine will play in a four-team tournament in Lilongwe as part of their pre-season tournament.
They are also expected to play a Mozambican outfit on their way back to the country.
They are scheduled to be out for up to 10 days as they fine-tune their preparations ahead of the 2026 season kickoff set for March 6.
Makepekepe struggled to stand on their feet last season, with their erratic form seeing them fighting relegation.
But they have stuffed up both their technical and playing personnel with the beefing expected to finally stabilise them going into the new term.
They have brought in one of their few sons doing well in coaching Takesure Chiragwi from Ngezi Platinum while they have signed high profile players in Richard Hachiro, Davison Marowa and Obriel Chirinda among others.
Club president Farai Jere hasn’t made it a secret that the high investment he has poured into the project merits high-level competitiveness and even the Premier Soccer League title.
