Champions League Awards: Kvaratskhelia Named Player of the Season as UEFA Reveals Team of the Tournament

UEFA has officially announced the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League award winners following the conclusion of a dramatic campaign that ended with Paris Saint-Germain retaining their crown after a penalty shootout victory over Arsenal in the final.

PSG once again underlined their dominance in European football, with Georgian winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia named UEFA Champions League Player of the Season after a standout campaign in which he registered 10 goals and six assists in 16 matches. The 25-year-old played a decisive role in PSG’s run to the final, consistently delivering key performances in crucial moments.
This marks the second consecutive season a PSG player has claimed the prestigious award, following Ousmane Dembélé’s recognition in the previous campaign.

UEFA also confirmed additional individual honours, with Arda Güler named “Revelation of the Season” after an impressive breakthrough campaign that saw him score twice and provide four assists in 14 appearances, including standout performances in the knockout stages.
Federico Valverde was awarded Goal of the Season for his spectacular flick and volley against Manchester City in the round of 16 first leg, a moment widely praised as one of the tournament’s highlights.
