Peter Ndlovu is the ultimate football star Zimbabwe has ever had. The former Warriors captain was the first African to play in the English Premier League when he joined Coventry City back in 1991.

That was after he won the Soccer Star of the Year accolade after helping Highlanders win the domestic Premiership. He did come back home, albeit briefly, with Twalumba in Division One, around 2010 before going to Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa. Finally, since 1990, Ndlovu has won a domestic accolade after Scottland beat Dynamos 5-0 to claim the Castle Challenge Cup at Rufaro on Sunday.

The former Sheffield United man is now the team manager for Scottland. He expressed his happiness after the feat, which came with a total dominance of Scottland over Dynamos.

Ndlovu was in a happy mood as he walked down the stage to get his medal from ZIFA president Nqobile Magwizi. Scottland dominated every detail of the game, putting Dynamos to cleaners.
They found the target through Emmanuel Ziocha, Tymon Machope, Walter Musona, Knowledge Musona, and Khama Billiat. It was also the first game that the Musona brothers got on the same scoresheet since Knowledge joined in July last year.

The Castle Challenge Cup officially marks the beginning of the 2026 Premier Soccer League. The marathon begins this coming weekend.
