Sakubva Stadium closed for renovations
Hope
Mutare’s Sakubva Stadium has been closed for renovations, and it is expected to reopen its doors to Premiership action later this year or at the beginning of next year.
The only Premier Soccer League team based in the Manicaland capital, Manica Diamonds, will host their home games at Gibbo, sharing with Triangle. The stadium, according to Mutare City Council sources, will be improved to world-class standards while its capacity will also be expanded.

Bucket seats will be installed across the entire arena in a move that will also facelift the general outlook of Mutare. Sakubva Stadium is one of the facilities which have seen homologous and dehomologations in equal measure over the past few seasons.
The Mutare City Council, however, wants the erratic homologations to be a thing of the past as they have decided to get down to work and come up with a perfect stadium that can match international standards.
