US$ 1 million prize money for Munhumutapa Challenge Cup winners

The winners of the ZIFA Munhumutapa Challenge Cup for the senior men’s will pocket a cool US$ 1 million, half of which will be reserved for their participation in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The tournament was launched in Harare by President Mnangagwa. It is worth US$ 5 million per year for five years and includes top-flight teams and lower division sides for both genders.
Beach Soccer and 5-Aside teams will also take part in the competition. The women’s winners will walk away US$200k richer while the Junior Development League champions will pocket US$100k.
Futsal kings will take home US$30k while Beach Soccer winners will walk away with US$20k, but it is the senior men’s champions who will be the richest. They won’t have to worry about the costs involved in the CAF Confederation Cup as they will get that from winning the biggest tournament in the country
