The selection reflects ZIFA’s continued efforts to strengthen and rebuild the national women’s team, with a squad that blends experienced campaigners and promising local talent as the team prepares for future international assignments.
The squad is largely dominated by locally based players, with only Emmaculate Msipa and Ethel Chinyerere plying their trade outside Zimbabwe, highlighting the depth of talent within the domestic women’s league.
In the goalkeeping department, the selected players are Delight Matigwene (Chapungu Queens), Vanessa S. Lunga (Platinum Royals), and Cynthia Shonga (Herentals Queens), all expected to compete strongly for the starting position.

In midfield, ZIFA has included Daisy Kaitano (Black Rhinos Queens), Shyline Dambamuromo and Bridget Mutaurwa (Herentals Queens), Christabel Katona (Black Rhinos Queens), Bethel Kondo (Herentals Queens), alongside overseas-based Emmaculate Msipa (Ramat Hasharon, Israel), adding international quality and control in the middle of the park.
The forward line features Rutendo Makore (Black Rhinos Queens), Priviledge Mupeti (Black Rhinos Queens), Praynance Zvawanda (Herentals Queens), Ruvimbo Mucherera (Unattached), Anita Ncube (Kwekwe Queens), and Ethel Chinyerere (Green Buffaloes, Zambia), who will be tasked with providing goals and attacking threat.
