Hope

Zimbabwe international forward Macauley Bonne celebrated a major career milestone after helping Billericay Town secure promotion to the National League South following a dramatic 2-1 extra-time victory over Brentwood Town in the Isthmian League Premier Division play-off final at New Lodge.
The Warriors striker was part of the Billericay Town side that completed a successful promotion campaign, earning the club a place in the sixth tier of English football next season.
The victory marked a significant achievement for Bonne, who continues to represent Zimbabwe abroad while playing an influential role at club level in England.
Billericay Town battled through a tense and closely fought encounter before eventually sealing promotion in extra time, sparking celebrations among players and supporters after a demanding season.
Following the triumph, Bonne reflected emotionally on the journey and the challenges he experienced during the campaign.

“PROMOTION!!! Time to look back and reflect on a strange season for me personally but one I’ll most definitely never forget. What a club, from the staff and players who welcomed me in and made me feel at home the second I arrived. Finally got this club back on the rise to where it deserved to be @billericaytown💙,” Bonne said after the victory.
The National League South sits just below the National League in the English football pyramid and is regarded as an important step up in competition, featuring several ambitious clubs battling for promotion into the professional ranks.
For Bonne, the promotion adds another memorable chapter to his career as the experienced forward continues flying the Zimbabwean flag in England while helping Billericay Town return to higher-level football.
