INTER MILAN COMPLETE DOMESTIC DOUBLE AFTER ITALIAN CUP TRIUMPH OVER LAZIO

Hope

Inter Milan completed a superb domestic double on Wednesday after beating Lazio 2-0 in the Italian Cup final at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

The victory sealed Inter’s 10th Coppa Italia title and came just days after they secured their 21st Serie A championship, confirming a dominant season underlining their status as Italy’s top side.

Inter made a strong start and took control early when an Adam Marusic own goal gave them the lead in the 14th minute following sustained pressure.

Their advantage was doubled in the 34th minute when Lautaro Martinez reacted quickly inside the box to tap home after a defensive error from Lazio, registering his 22nd goal in all competitions this season.

From there, Inter managed the game with composure and control, limiting Lazio’s attacking threat and comfortably seeing out the result despite a few half chances for the Rome-based side in the second half.

Lazio struggled to create clear openings throughout the match and were largely contained by Inter’s disciplined defensive structure, as the Nerazzurri controlled possession and tempo until the final whistle.

The win completes a highly successful campaign for Inter Milan, who have now added the Italian Cup to their league triumph, marking a season of domestic dominance and consistency at the highest level.
