LuckyBets, in partnership with the Premier Soccer League (PSL), is set to officially launch the LuckyBets Player Of The Match award today, introducing a landmark initiative that will run across all Castle Lager Premier Soccer League fixtures for the remainder of the 2026 season.
The award represents a significant step in LuckyBets’ growing investment in Zimbabwean football, with the brand taking a leading role in the recognition and reward of outstanding individual performances on a match-by-match basis.
Under the new structure, every PSL fixture will produce a LuckyBets Player Of The Match, who will be awarded a US$200 cash prize immediately after the final whistle. The winners will be determined through a structured and transparent voting process conducted by accredited media representatives covering each match.
In a major enhancement to matchday operations, LuckyBets will deploy official representatives to every stadium across the country to ensure the seamless presentation of the award on the pitch immediately after each game, further elevating the visibility and prestige of the initiative.
The PSL and LuckyBets said the partnership reflects a shared vision to professionalise the domestic game, incentivise consistent high-level performances, and enhance the overall matchday experience for players, clubs and supporters.
Beginning today, the LuckyBets Player Of The Match award will run for the remainder of the 2026 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season, beginning with today’s fixtures, marking the start of a new era in which individual excellence is formally recognized and rewarded at every ground across the league.
