Knowledge Musona, Milton Chimedza, Emmanuel Charamba and Tanaka Munemo were named LuckyBets Player of the Match winners following standout performances during Matchday 14 of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League fixtures played on Saturday.

Former Warriors captain Musona produced a commanding display as Scottland FC defeated Chicken Inn FC 2-0 at Barbourfields Stadium.

Operating in an attacking midfield role, Musona opened the scoring in the 22nd minute before controlling the tempo of the match with his movement, creativity and link-up play. His influence helped Scottland maintain pressure throughout the game before Walter Musona added a second goal in the second half to seal victory.

At Herentals FC, Chimedza inspired his side to a huge 4-1 victory over Simba Bhora FC with a dominant midfield performance.

The midfielder opened the scoring in the first half and dictated play throughout the encounter as Herentals strengthened their position in the upper half of the table. Simba Bhora’s challenge became more difficult after a second-half red card before goals from Ralph Kawondera and Lot Chiwunga helped complete the convincing win.

Meanwhile, Charamba came off the bench to rescue Agama FC in a 1-1 draw against ZPC Kariba FC at Wadzanayi Stadium.

The forward replaced the injured Ralph Nyamupurika late in the first half before scoring the equaliser in the 52nd minute to earn Agama a valuable point in their fight to move away from the relegation zone. His energetic display changed the momentum of the match and earned him the LuckyBets Player of the Match accolade.

At Baobab Stadium, Munemo delivered one of the standout performances of the weekend as Ngezi Platinum Stars FC beat Bulawayo Chiefs FC 4-2 in an entertaining six-goal thriller.

The midfielder registered two assists and one goal in a complete attacking display. Munemo created Ngezi’s opener before later assisting again and scoring himself to help the hosts recover after Bulawayo Chiefs had fought back to level the match at 2-2 early in the second half.
