Manchester United descend on Bournemouth

Hope

After returning to winning ways in emphatic fashion when beating Aston Villa 3-1 last weekend, Manchester United hit the road to the Vitality Stadium where they face Bournemouth Friday night.

They have their tails up following their commanding win that lifted them to third in the EPL table with 54 points.

The Michael Carrick charges had seen their roll frozen by Newcastle before they redeemed themselves against the Clarets and Reds.

In the past five games, United have won three against Tottenham (2-1), Everton (1-0) and Villa while they played a 1-1 draw against West Ham United.
That means they have collected 10 points out of a possible 15.

But they face an equally formidable side in Bournemouth who on 11th place have earned 43 points this season.

Manchester United are still hamstrung by injuries to Lisandro Martinez, Matthijs de Ligt (back), and Patrick Dorgu (hamstring) while Noussair Mazraoui is a doubt due to illness.

They have a boost with the return of Mason Mount though.

Bournemouth, on their part have not lost in the past five games but the Vitality side should be concerned because they have drawn four of those against Burnley (0-0), Brentford (0-0), Sunderland (1-1) and West Ham (0-0) while winning only once against Everton (2-1).

Still they have two critical injuries to Lewis Cook and Tyler Adam who will once again miss Friday night’s showdown against the Old Trafford side.

It shall be a close one.
