Wolves relegated after difficult Premier League campaign

Wolverhampton Wanderers have been relegated from the Premier League following a disappointing 2025/26 season.
Their 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace confirmed their drop to the Championship, capping a campaign marked by inconsistent performances from the side and a lack of goals.

Wolves, who earned promotion to the top flight in 2018, struggled throughout the season and have so far managed 3 wins and spent much of the campaign in the relegation zone. Their failure to secure crucial points during the season has ultimately sealed their fate, with 6 games still remaining in the EPL.
The Midlands club has faced challenges at both ends of the pitch, including defensive lapses which has seen them concede 61 goals so far and while they have also struggled in front of goal, having scored 24 in 33 games played so far.
Meanwhile Wolves are home to Zimbabwean duo of Marshall Munetsi and Tawanda Chirewa.
Munetsi is currently on loan at Paris FC in French ligue 1, where he has scored four goals in 12 appearances so far while also scooping the club’s March player of the month Award.
Chirewa is also out on loan at Barnsley FC in League One.
Both players could return to a Wolves side set to compete in the Championship next season, depending on squad decisions during the transfer window.
