Arsenal Crowned Premier League Champions: What the Title Delivers and the Rewards Behind Glory
Hope

Arsenal’s long-awaited Premier League triumph in the 2025/26 season has ended a 22-year wait for the title, but beyond the celebrations and historic achievement, the question remains: what do champions actually receive for winning the Premier League?
The rewards are both symbolic and practical, combining silverware, medals, financial benefits, and qualification for elite European competition.
At the heart of the celebrations is the Premier League Trophy itself — one of football’s most iconic prizes.

The trophy, standing 3ft 5in (104cm) tall and weighing 25.4kg, will be presented to Arsenal at Selhurst Park following their final league fixture against Crystal Palace. Designed with the famous “Three Lions of English Football”, it is instantly recognisable across world sport.
Two identical trophies exist: one remains with the Premier League while the other is used by the reigning champions during the season for presentation purposes. Both carry engraved bases listing past winners.
In addition to the trophy, Arsenal will receive 40 commemorative winners’ medals made of silver.
Premier League regulations state that any player who has featured in at least five league matches during the season is entitled to a medal. Clubs are also permitted to allocate remaining medals to staff and squad members at their discretion, ensuring wider recognition of contributions behind the title-winning campaign.
Unlike many competitions in global sport, the Premier League does not offer a fixed prize fund for winning the title.
Instead, clubs receive merit-based payments determined by their final position in the table. Champions receive the highest share, with each subsequent position receiving a reduced amount.
Beyond league payments, winning the title brings significant commercial benefits, including increased sponsorship value and stronger negotiating positions for future deals. However, it can also trigger performance-related bonuses within player and staff contracts.
By finishing top of the Premier League, Arsenal automatically secure qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League.
They are joined by other leading English clubs, with the Premier League currently benefiting from additional European qualification places due to strong performances by English sides in continental competitions.
As champions, Arsenal will also feature in the FA Community Shield, the traditional curtain-raiser to the new English football season.
They will face FA Cup winners Manchester City in Cardiff on 16 August, marking the official start of their title defence.
Another visible reward is the gold Premier League champions’ badge, worn on the sleeve throughout the following season. Introduced in 2015/16, the badge signifies the reigning champions and is already included on official club merchandise for the upcoming campaign.
Finally, Arsenal’s name will be engraved on the Premier League’s Wall of Champions, alongside the most successful clubs in English football history.
With four Premier League titles now to their name, Arsenal further cement their place among the elite of the English game.
Winning the Premier League is therefore not only a sporting achievement, but a collection of honours, financial gains and long-term prestige that secures a club’s place in football history.
