Celtic Snatch Premiership Title in Dramatic Final-Day Victory Over Hearts
Hope

Celtic were crowned Scottish Premiership champions after a dramatic 3-1 victory over Hearts at Celtic Park, sealing the title on the final day of the season.
Hearts went into the match needing only a draw to secure their first league title in 60 years, but their hopes were shattered by a late Celtic comeback in front of a packed and emotional crowd.
The visitors took a surprise lead in the first half when Lawrence Shankland headed home from a corner, putting Hearts on course for a historic triumph.
However, Celtic responded before the break when Arne Engels converted from the penalty spot after a VAR review ruled a handball in the box, bringing the hosts level.
The decisive moment came late in the match as Celtic pushed forward under intense pressure, with Daizen Maeda and Callum Osmand scoring crucial late goals to complete the turnaround.
The victory sparked wild celebrations inside Celtic Park as supporters flooded onto the pitch following the final whistle.
Celtic defender Kieran Tierney praised the team’s resilience, describing the season as “mental” and highlighting the squad’s mental strength during a difficult campaign.
“It’s unbelievable. We never give up,” he said. “This team is the most mentally strong team I’ve ever been involved with.”
Hearts, who had led the table for much of the season, were left devastated after falling short on the final day for the second time in their history, having previously suffered a similar fate decades ago.
The result continues Celtic’s dominance in Scottish football, with the club securing 14 league titles in the last 15 seasons.
Despite controversy surrounding key VAR decisions, Celtic held firm to complete yet another remarkable comeback season under manager Martin O’Neill.
