Emmanuel Charamba came off the bench to rescue struggling Agama football club as they held ZPC Kariba to a 1-1 draw in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League game, that was played at Wadzanayi Stadium on Saturday.
The result earned struggling Agama an important point as they continue their fight to move away from the bottom of the table.
Charamba made an immediate impact after coming on as a substitute for injured Ralph Nyamupurika late in the first half as the hosts continued to search for an equaliser heading into halftime.
The change paid off early in the second half, as Charamba found the equaliser in the 52nd minute after Agama had gone into the break trailing. His performance also earned him the LuckyBets Player of the Match award.
The introduction of Charamba changed the momentum of the game, with the forward causing problems for the visitors through his movement and attacking play.
His equaliser sparked renewed confidence for the hosts, who created several chances in search of a winning goal.
ZPC Kariba also threatened in the closing stages, but both sides were forced to settle for a share of the points.
Charamba becomes the second Agama player in consecutive weeks to win the LuckyBets Player of the Match accolade after midfielder Josiah Terrence Daka received the award in the previous game.
