Chimedza Leads Herentals To Convincing Simba Bhora Win
Hope

Milton Chimedza delivered a top drawer performance as Herentals FC secured a commanding 4-1 victory over Simba Bhora to maintain fifth position on the league table.
Chimedza was named the LuckyBets Player of the Match after scoring and controlling the midfield in an impressive all-round display.
The award was the second time a Herentals player has received the accolade this season following Ralph Kawondera’s recognition after scoring in the club’s 1-0 away win over MWOS.
The midfielder opened the scoring in the 26th minute after beating his marker with quick footwork before firing past the goalkeeper from a tight angle to give Herentals the lead.
Herentals carried a 1-0 advantage into halftime, with Chimedza playing a key role in the hosts’ disciplined and organised display.
Nicknamed “Pogba” by supporters, Chimedza dictated the tempo in midfield and repeatedly troubled Simba Bhora with his movement and passing range. His influence proved decisive as the visitors struggled to contain him throughout the match.
Simba Bhora’s problems worsened after a red card reduced them to 10 men. Kawondera converted from the penalty spot soon after to double Herentals’ advantage before Lot Chiwunga added a third goal for the hosts.
Blessed Ndereki scored a late consolation for Simba Bhora, but Herentals completed the dominant performance with a fourth goal in the closing stages to seal an emphatic victory.
The result strengthens Herentals’ push up the standings as the season approaches the halfway stage, while Chimedza’s performance is expected to boost his confidence heading into the coming fixtures.
