Herentals FC gets Dzivarasekwa Stadium lease

Herentals FC may soon be starting renovation works at Dzivarasekwa Stadium after getting a lease from the City of Harare. The Students are one of the five teams currently using Rufaro Stadium as their home ground.
Dynamos, CAPS United, FC Hunters, and Scottland are all using the Mbare facility with concerns rising over the overuse since the ground hosts three games every week.
Herentals have found an alternative, which is, however, not so immediate. City of Harare have confirmed that the papers are all now in order, and Herentals look to start building the first blocks.
Dzivarasekwa Stadium was last used by Lengthens in 2010. It’s now dilapidated, and it will take a great deal of investment to modernise it to homologation levels.
