João Pedro has been named Chelsea Men’s Player of the Season for the 2025/26 campaign after an outstanding debut season at Stamford Bridge.
The Brazilian forward received more than 60% of the public vote, underlining his immediate impact and consistency in front of goal since joining the club from Brighton & Hove Albion in July 2025. Chelsea FC confirmed that João Pedro finished ahead of Enzo Fernández, who came second, and Moisés Caicedo in third place.
Pedro made an instant impression at Chelsea, scoring twice in the FIFA Club World Cup semi-final and once in the final to help the club lift the newly expanded competition. He carried that form into the domestic season, scoring crucial goals against West Ham United, Fulham, Tottenham Hotspur, and in the UEFA Champions League.
The 24-year-old’s standout performances included a brace against Napoli in Europe and a hat-trick away to Aston Villa, marking his first treble in English football’s top flight.
Across all competitions, João Pedro has scored 20 goals in his debut season, becoming just the 11th Chelsea player in the Premier League era to reach that milestone in his first campaign. He also contributed five Premier League assists, taking his total goal involvements to 20 in the league alone.
Chelsea praised the forward’s consistency, durability and attacking influence, noting that he has already become one of the key figures in the squad, having made 49 appearances this season — second only to Enzo Fernández and Pedro Neto.
Pedro joins an elite list of Chelsea players to record 20 Premier League goal involvements in a debut season, alongside club legends such as Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Eden Hazard, Diego Costa, Cesc Fàbregas and Cole Palmer.
The club congratulated him on a remarkable first season in blue, with fans now expecting even greater success in the years ahead.
