Mitchell Ruled Out For Crucial Spurs Clash

Hope

Oklahoma City Thunder will head into Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals with injury concerns after rookie guard Ajay Mitchell was ruled out, while forward Jalen Williams remains questionable.

Mitchell will miss Sunday’s clash against the San Antonio Spurs due to a right soleus strain sustained during Game 3. The rookie exited in the third quarter of Oklahoma City’s victory and did not return.

The 22-year-old managed just two points while shooting 1-for-5 in 17 minutes after starting in place of Williams, who is dealing with a left hamstring strain.

Williams missed Game 3 after reportedly aggravating the injury during Game 2 in Oklahoma City. His availability for Game 4 remains uncertain as the Thunder attempt to extend their series advantage.

With both players facing fitness concerns, Oklahoma City is expected to rely more heavily on Alex Caruso, Cason Wallace and rookie Jared McCain for additional minutes.

The Thunder currently lead the Western Conference Finals series 2-1 heading into Game 4 in San Antonio.
