Pistons Force Game 7 With Dominant Victory Over Cavaliers

Hope

The Detroit Pistons kept their NBA playoff hopes alive after producing a dominant second-half performance to defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers 115-94 and force a decisive Game 7 in their Eastern Conference second-round series.

Led by Cade Cunningham’s 21 points, the Pistons delivered an impressive display on the road against the top-seeded Cavaliers to level the series at 3-3.

Jalen Duren contributed a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Daniss Jenkins also added 15 points for Detroit, who continued their remarkable run when facing elimination this postseason.

The Pistons had previously recovered from a 3-1 deficit against Orlando in the opening round and once again showed resilience under pressure.

Detroit’s victory also matched a 66-year-old NBA playoff record for the biggest Game 6 road win by a team trailing 3-2 in a series.

The visitors were particularly effective from long range, making 16 three-pointers, with Cunningham knocking down five from beyond the arc. Duncan Robinson also provided a major boost off the bench with 14 points after missing Game 5 through injury.

Pistons coach J.B. Bickerstaff praised his team’s defensive intensity and physical approach after the victory.

The decisive Game 7 will now take place in Detroit on Sunday, with both teams battling for a place in the Eastern Conference finals.
