Zimbabwe to Host Bangladesh for Multi-Format Series in June and July

Hope

Zimbabwe will host Bangladesh in June and July for an exciting multi-format bilateral series featuring one Test match, three One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).

The tour is set to begin with a five-day Test match at Harare Sports Club from 28 June to 2 July, as Zimbabwe look to continue their recent progress in red-ball cricket.

Following the Test encounter, the two teams will remain in Harare for the ODI series, with matches scheduled for 6, 9 and 11 July at the same venue.

The action will then shift to Bulawayo, where Queens Sports Club will host the three-match T20I series on 15, 17 and 19 July.

The series is expected to attract significant attention as Zimbabwe prepare for another important international assignment on home soil against one of Asia’s competitive cricket nations.

Zimbabwe and Bangladesh last faced each other in a two-match Test series in Bangladesh in 2025. The series ended 1-1 after Zimbabwe produced a memorable three-wicket victory, which marked the Chevrons’ first Test win in four years and one of their most important red-ball results in recent seasons.

That victory helped restore confidence within the Zimbabwean setup and demonstrated the team’s growing competitiveness against established international opposition.

The upcoming tour will also mark Zimbabwe’s first home international assignment of 2026 and their first international action since an impressive campaign at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, which was co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka earlier this year.

With matches spread across Harare and Bulawayo, the tour is expected to provide local cricket fans with an opportunity to once again watch international cricket action featuring some of the top players from both nations.

The series will also serve as an important test for Zimbabwe across all three formats as they continue rebuilding and developing consistency at international level.
