World No. 1 Jannik Sinner has written his name into tennis history after becoming the youngest player to reach the final of all nine ATP Masters 1000 events, following his victory at the Mutua Madrid Open.
The Italian star produced a commanding performance on Friday, defeating Arthur Fils 6-2, 6-4 to complete a rare milestone previously achieved only by tennis legends Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, and Rafael Nadal.
At just 24 years old, Sinner becomes the fourth man in history to reach the final of all nine Masters 1000 tournaments — and the youngest to do so, surpassing the marks set by Federer (30), Djokovic (25), and Nadal (27).
The World No. 1 continues to dominate the ATP Tour, extending his remarkable form across the season. He has now reached multiple Masters 1000 finals in 2026 and is chasing a historic fifth consecutive title at this level.
Sinner’s run also includes a 27-match winning streak in Masters 1000 events, underlining his consistency at the highest level of the sport. He has already lifted eight Masters 1000 trophies in his career, with his breakthrough coming in Toronto in 2023.
The Italian is also closing in on another historic achievement. Victory in Madrid would move him closer to completing the Career Golden Masters, a feat only achieved by Novak Djokovic, who remains the only player to win all nine Masters 1000 titles.
Beyond the records, Sinner continues to set new standards for the next generation. With his latest milestone, he becomes the first player born in the 2000s to reach 350 tour-level wins, highlighting his rapid rise to the top of the sport.
Sinner will now face Alexander Zverev in the Madrid Open final, with another major title and more history within reach.
